BRCGS Food version 9

The latest edition of the BRCGS Global Standard For Food Safety was published on August 1, 2022, while it is effective as of February 1, 2023 (6-month transition period). 

The new version of the standard focuses on developing best practices for food safety culture requirements and product authenticity. Many of the requirements have been clarified for better understanding and easier implementation for certified companies.

Businesses certified on BRCGS Food should note the introduction of changes in the color-coding of some of the requirements and the associated differences in auditing a plant.

An important change in the 9th edition of the standard is the introduction of unannounced mandatory audits every 3 years.
